League Details

The Nepean Girls Spring Hockey League will be available for age levels U9 to U22 for girls in the Nepean area for the 2025 season.

The league is open to House and Competitive players from the 2024-2025 season.

The league will consist of 4 or 6 teams per division with 10 to 12 skaters and a goalie on each team. Note: for 2025, rosters and teams will be limited.

Each team will play 16 regular season games of 25 minutes each (running time). Teams will play two 25 minute games back to back per weekend.

U9 (Novice) teams will play full ice games.

The regular season will run from April 19th to June 8th. A championship tournament will take place over two weekends June 13th - 15th and June 20th - 22nd.

A small token will be awarded to the player of the game for each team every game.

Officials will be used as much as possible for all regular season games and playoffs.

A league website will be used to track rosters, schedules, results, and standings. Individual player stats will not be recorded.

Part time goalies will be allowed. Part time goalies will be paired up and each player will pay half of one skater fee plus half of one goalie fee. Goalies are responsible for supplying their own goalie equipment. It is recommended that goalies in U13, U15, U18, and U22 are full time goalies.

Our goal is to have one full time goalie or two part time goalies per team.

Jerseys will be provided for each player and will be theirs to keep after the season.

One friend request will be allowed. In order to guarantee playing with your friend, your friend must mirror the request. Multiple friend requests cannot be guaranteed.

Registration will take place between February 1st to March 31st. We have a limited number of teams per division. Players will be accepted on a first come first served basis, so early registration will be key to guarantee your child a spot in the league.

Please note that although most players and coaches in the NGSHL come from the NGHA, we are not affiliated with the NGHA. Please do not contact any member of the NGHA Executive with questions regarding NGSHL.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
In an effort to keep enrollment fees as low as possible for families, the planning and budgeting for our spring hockey program is based on enrollment numbers that are received in advance of the start date.

For this reason, no refunds will be issued after March 15th, 2025. This means that beginning March 16th, 2025, cancellations will not be eligible for any refunds.

For withdrawals due to medical reasons, full refunds will be issued prior to the commencement of the league and pro-rated thereafter. A medical note is required to substantiate the medical reason. Pro-rated refunds will be calculated upon receipt of the notification being received by Kaboom Sports. You can submit cancellation requests and medical notes to vicki@ngshl.com.

No refunds will be provided for any reason after May 31st, 2025.

Please note that financial compensation is not provided for missed ice times.

An additional fee of $20 will be charged for any NSF cheques.

Thank you for your understanding.
